Funding Some have asked how Edify Ministries is funded and how they might help. This statement is for them. Edify Ministries will never make merchandise of the Word of God. That would be a direct violation of 2 Cor. 2:17 and the practice of the Apostle Paul. Jesus and the Apostle Paul did receive gifts from willing donors for their ministry and support (Lk. 8:1-3; Phil. 4:15-20). In 1 Cor. 9:9 and 1 Tim. 5:18, Paul says that ministry workers should be allowed to get their livelihood from their ministry. When the gifts did not meet his needs, Paul worked a trade to support himself and his ministry (Acts 20:33-35). Paul's goal, and that of Edify Ministries is to never be a burden to anyone.
